Aon has appointed Amanda Yap-Choong as chief financial officer for New Zealand, the company announced on Tuesday.
Yap-Choong joins the broker from Westpac, where she had worked for almost two years, most recently as head of group performance management and finance strategy.
She brings over 15 years of experience, spanning financial leadership, commercial strategy and business transformation across a range of industries. She previously held senior positions for Southern Cross Benefits, Chapman Tripp, Broadspectrum, and PwC.
“In her new role, Amanda will work closely with teams across New Zealand and Asia Pacific to enhance financial performance and governance, supporting collaboration across the business and building partnerships that support our clients,” Aon said in its announcement.
The announcement follows several recent leadership appointments made by Aon, including Christian Hoffman as global CEO of commercial risk and Chris Camerieri as enterprise client group growth leader for APAC. Aon has also named Masahito Hirai as Japan CEO, and Lily Mak as head of client relationship management for health solutions in Singapore.
