AXA Philippines has appointed Mikael Malaganne as Chief Financial Officer, the insurance company announced on LinkedIn on Thursday.

Malaganne relocated from Paris to join AXA Philippines, having previously worked as VP Investor Relations at AXA Group. He has been with the AXA Group since 2014, initially working in Corporate Treasury focusing on debt and equity financing.

During his time with AXA Group, Malaganne gained experience across corporate finance, investor relations, and strategy. He also oversaw rating agencies for AXA Group entities and engaged with analysts and large investors while managing shareholder strategy.

“His deep expertise will be key in leading our Finance team at this important stage of our 2028 ambition and in positioning AXA Philippines for sustainable growth,” AXA Philippines stated.

Malaganne’s appointment comes as AXA continues expanding its regional footprint, recently partnering with MOTOGO to launch Hong Kong’s first parametric typhoon policy and signing a MoU with China Biotech Services to explore cancer treatment options for policyholders across the Asia-Pacific region.
