Coface has appointed Agnes Chan as regional head of partnerships for Asia-Pacific, the business announced in a LinkedIn post on Tuesday.

Chan has been with the specialty trade credit insurer since 2016, beginning her stint as country manager of Malaysia, then later country manager of Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. She has more than 15 years of insurance industry experience, across liability, marine, health, personal accident, and motor lines.

Prior to Coface, she has had stints at Campu Lonpac Insurance in Cambodia and Lonpac Insurance in Malaysia.

Based in Malaysia, Chan will now oversee the business’s market integration, team alignment, and cross-border partnerships in Asia Pacific.

Commenting on the appointment, Coface said: “Agnes brings valuable and relevant experience in developing partnerships that deliver tangible business outcomes and is well positioned to strengthen our partner ecosystem and accelerate this priority.”

Chan’s move follows last week’s appointment of Darren Chan as country manager for Malaysia and head of the Philippines, the post she vacated for her new post, effective 1 April 2026. It also comes after Carmen Chow‘s promotion to head of commercial for Hong Kong at the turn of the month, and Priscilla Ng’s appointment as commercial director for Singapore in March.
