Declan Moore has been named as QBE’s Chief Governance and Executive Operations Officer, the company announced in a statement on LinkedIn on Wednesday (7 August).

In his new role, Moore will oversee first line risk, customer remediation, marketing and customer insights, legal, and executive operations for QBE’s Australia Pacific business, the insurer said.

Moore has been with QBE for 13 years, most recently serving as CEO and Managing Director New Zealand and Pacific, a position that has now been taken on by Jonathan Groves, as announced by QBE earlier this week.

Prior, he has held positions at QBE, including CEO and Chief Customer Officer, New Zealand & Pacific and Chief Underwriting Officer, according to LinkedIn.

In addition to his roles at QBE, Moore has been a Board Member at the Insurance Council of New Zealand (ICNZ) since March 2021.
