HDI Global has named Peter Button as Underwriting Manager for Professional Lines in New South Wales (NSW) and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), the company announced on LinkedIn on October 20.
Based in Sydney, Button joins from Sura Professional Risks, where he served as National Underwriting Manager for Professional Lines. His career also includes senior roles at Gallagher Re and nearly a decade at Allianz Australia, where he held various financial lines positions, including Head of Financial Lines.
Justin Klietz, Head of Professional Lines at HDI Global, said Button is a high-calibre underwriter with a proven track record of growing and managing profitable portfolios.
Button’s appointment is the latest in a series of hires HDI Global has made in the Asia-Pacific region in recent months, including Nikita Tikhonov as Head of Marine Global Risk and Tom Hansen as Senior Liability Underwriter in Australia.
