HDI Global SE appointed Alex Howell as Underwriting Manager, Property, in Singapore, the firm said in a LinkedIn post on Friday, 11 July.
Howell moves after two years at AXA XL, based in Sydney. His previous roles include time at Zurich Insurance and Swiss Re in Singapore.
“We are pleased to have him back in the Asian market, leading the Property team across South East and South Asia,” HDI said in its post.
Howell brings 25 years of experience to HDI Global, having held key positions across Property and Energy in London, Singapore, and Australia.
Howell’s appointment follows recent key executive hires at HDI Global. In June, Haris Michaels moved to Singapore to take on an expanded regional role as Engineering Underwriting Manager Australasia, while Stevan Bonic has been promoted to Underwriting Manager Engineering, Australasia. The company also named TaeHan Kim as Underwriting Manager for Liability, North Asia in May.
