Howden has appointed Rebecca Poon as Chief Client Officer for Hong Kong, the global insurance intermediary group announced in a media release.

Poon joins the business following 42 years with Marsh, where she was most recently Managing Director. Based in Hong Kong, she will assume her new role upon fulfilling her existing contractual commitments.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rebecca to Howden. Her expertise and reputation in the market will be invaluable as we continue to expand our footprint and deliver solutions to our clients,” said Chye Huat, CEO of Howden Asia.

The appointment continues Howden’s strategic expansion across the Asia Pacific region. It follows the recent naming of Chris Hughes as CEO of Howden New Zealand and Jonathan Yang as Director for APAC Facultative Reinsurance at Howden Re.
