Howden has appointed Phil Bautista Steel as Associate Director, Business Development for Hong Kong, the company said in a LinkedIn post on Monday, 14 July.

Steel joins Howden after a year with Aon and, prior to that, worked for over seven years at CCW Global. He brings extensive insurance sales expertise across the finance, marketing, technology, allied health, and F&B sectors, with experience spanning SMEs to multinational corporations.

Commenting on the appointment, Alfred Sham, CEO of Howden, Hong Kong, said, “Phil’s energy, teamwork mentality and deep client understanding are exactly what drive lasting sustainable partnerships.”

Steel’s appointment follows several key leadership hires Howden has made in APAC, including Christine Wee as Director of Regional Employee Benefits, Asia; Hamish Ravindran, Chief Client Officer for Asia; and Edmund Arghand, Head of Credit, Political Risk & Surety (CPS) for Asia.
