Howden has appointed Mohd Inam as executive vice president for business development in India, further expanding its leadership team in the country, the broker said on Wednesday.
Based in Noida, Inam rejoins Howden with more than 21 years of industry experience across business development, corporate client engagement and risk advisory.
He first joined the broker in 2012 as a senior manager for business development, in which role he handled corporate risk and insurance solutions until 2017.
Inam was most recently vice president of business development at Prudent Insurance Brokers. Before that, he held similar roles at Salsaar Services and Emedlife Insurance Broking Services. His earlier roles include managerial positions at Reliance General Insurance and HDFC ERGO General Insurance.
“(Inam) has successfully developed and managed large corporate relationships, delivering tailored insurance solutions across property, employee benefits, liability, and surety bonds while driving significant business growth,” Howden said in a LinkedIn post.
The appointment comes as Howden steps up hiring in India following a March restructuring that brought its India business into the Asia region. The broker said the move was part of a wider realignment to bring its capabilities closer to clients.
Howden recently appointed Abhinav Gujral as president and head of strategic initiatives for employee benefits in India. In June, the broker named Deepti Sharma as EVP and growth leader of sales, while Bhushan Raorane joined as EVP for property and risk management.
Prior to these appointments, Suresh Subramanium was appointed to lead Howden’s employee benefits business in western India and Ram KS was named growth leader for sales.
