Hsbc life announces two new leadership appointments for its singapore team

HSBC Life Singapore has today announced two key leadership appointments, naming Ouling Lu as its new Chief Product Propositions Officer and Michael Wei as its new Chief Partnership Distributions Officer. 

Equipped with 14 years of industry experience, Lu will be stepping into his new role at HSBC Life Singapore following a two-year stint with Milliman Asia, where he most recently took on the role of Head of Products, Greater Asia Life. Before this, Lu spent a decade holding senior and leadership positions across numerous Allianz Group business operations, including offices in Minneapolis, Munich, and Singapore.

Wei moves to HSBC Life Singapore from Sun Life, where he worked for over four years, most recently as the Chief Partnership and Marketing Officer. Wei brings over 22 years of industry experience to his new role, having gained expertise working for numerous banking and insurance firms in Singapore, including Manulife Singapore and City Regional Insurance. 

“Ouling and Michael are industry veterans, each boasting decades of leadership experience and a strong commitment to customer-centricity, “HSBC said in its announcement. “Ouling’s innovative approach to product propositions and Michael’s expertise in multi-channel distribution will undoubtedly enhance our service offerings and strengthen our presence in the region.”
