QBE has permanently appointed Julie Starley as Chief Claims Officer for Australia Pacific, the company announced in a LinkedIn post.
Starley has been with QBE Insurance since 2019, most recently serving as Managing Director, Consumer.
Her career spans the insurance, online retail, and telecommunications industries across Australia and Europe. She entered the insurance sector as General Manager for Customer Channels at icare NSW. Before that, she held roles at Grays eCommerce Group, Vodafone Group, and Ernst & Young.
“I’ve been so proud to see firsthand the tremendous resilience and dedication of our Claims team – they are at the heart of helping our customers recover. I’m excited to continue to work with the team in driving innovation, consistency, and performance excellence,” Starley said.
Her appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
