Lockton has appointed Alberto Ferriolo as regional growth leader for its Marine & Transportation business in Asia, effective 1 July 2026, the broker announced on Friday.

Based in Singapore, Ferriolo will be responsible for driving portfolio and revenue growth across the broker’s marine and transportation business in the region. He will report to Sung Wook Han, head of marine & transportation – Asia.

Ferriolo joins Lockton from Miller, where he was a broker specialising in cargo insurance. Before that, he held cargo and commodity trade insurance roles at Aon in the Netherlands, advising clients across European and Asian markets. He has also worked in commercial and business development roles in the logistics and commodities sectors at Coyote Logistics.

Ferriolo brings more than nine years of experience across the European and Asian insurance markets, with expertise in marine cargo, commodity trade and transportation risks.

In his new role, Ferriolo will work with Lockton’s marine and transportation teams across Asia on regional and cross-border business, while supporting the firm’s cargo and commodity trade capabilities.

Commenting on the appointment, Han said Ferriolo’s experience in cargo insurance, logistics and commodity trade would support the firm’s marine and transportation business across Asia.

The appointment follows a series of key hires across Lockton Asia’s leadership bench. Last month, the broker appointed Sandra Lee as chief growth officer – risk solutions, Asia, and Yuman Chan as chief growth officer – people solutions, Asia. The previous month, it appointed Nicholas Lee as CEO Designate of Malaysia and Jaideep (Jay) Sharma as CEO of India.
