Udayan Joshi has joined SBI General Insurance as Chief Technical and Claims Officer, the Indian insurer announced on Thursday.
In his new role, Joshi will oversee strategic underwriting and reinsurance initiatives aimed at sustainable profitability, SBI said. He will also lead the Claims function, focusing on delivering efficient claim services to customers.
Joshi brings nearly two decades of experience in the insurance industry, with a background that includes underwriting, pricing, claims management, reinsurance, operations, and customer experience.
He joins SBI General Insurance from Liberty General Insurance, where he spent ten years, most recently as Chief Technical & Claims Officer. Prior, he spent eight years with ICICI Lombard, including as Vice President for Motor Underwriting & Claims.
