Swiss Re has appointed Anna Ziswiler as Head of P&C Reinsurance for Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea, effective 1 May 2026, the reinsurer announced on Tuesday. She will also serve as Country President for Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Korea, and India.
In her new role, Ziswiler will be based in Singapore, reporting to Urs Baertschi, CEO of P&C Re. She will also join the P&C Re Management Team.
Ziswiler has been with the global reinsurer for 16 years, holding roles in strategy, operations, and reinsurance in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. She currently leads Swiss Re’s P&C Re business in 20 markets across the Middle East, Pakistan, Israel, the Mediterranean, and Switzerland.
“I am delighted to have Anna Ziswiler lead our P&C Re business in Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea,” Baertschi said. “Anna brings diverse experience from many markets around the world. Her appointment reflects the depth and breadth of our internal talent.”
Ziswiler’s appointment coincides with Victor Kuk, the former CEO of Swiss Re Asia, joining Peak Re as CEO, effective 20 April.
The move adds to a run of recent appointments across Swiss Re’s Asia-facing businesses, including Devpriya Misra as head of a newly established credit and surety hub in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, Tamas Bown as head of Life and Health Reinsurance in Asia Pacific excluding China, and Robert Kell as Swiss Re CorSo’s customer and distribution manager for Australia and New Zealand.
