Indpendent Lloyd’s broker Tysers has announced two key appointments in Asia Pacific, with Babita Rai named as CEO of Tysers Singapore and William Furness-Smith taking on the role of Head of Marine for APAC.

William Furness-Smith, now Head of Marine, APAC, joined Tysers in 2015 and has relocated to the Singapore office. He brings over 15 years of experience in Marine broking, with a focus on complex hull and cargo risks, and having previously worked at Marsh & McLennan and Dry Cargo Shipbroker.

“I am delighted that William is joining the team in Singapore,” Wilson said.” He is an extremely talented and experienced broker with excellent client relationships and a track record for ensuring that risk programmes reflect evolving client needs.”
