SALT Marine Risks has promoted Soumika Mata to the role of Marine Underwriter, according to an announcement on the company’s LinkedIn page on Wednesday.
Mata has been with the Australian managing general agent for two and a half years, beginning as an underwriting associate in August 2023.
She brings 10 years of industry experience, beginning with a nine-year stint at The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., where she last served as assistant manager at the company’s large corporate and broker’s office.
“Soumika’s exceptional dedication, support, and development in marine underwriting have delivered outstanding results. This promotion is a testament to her hard work, growth, and commitment to excellence,” SALT said in its announcement.
