Chubb has promoted Candy Huang to lead its financial lines business across Southeast Asia, the insurer said on LinkedIn.

In the new role, Huang will lead financial lines operations in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.

Chubb’s head of financial lines in Asia, Jamie Park, said Huang “brings deep expertise in financial lines products and a strong track record of building solutions” to the role.

Huang most recently served as head of Chubb financial lines for Singapore, a position she held for the past three years. She has been with Chubb for more than eight years, holding a number of underwriting and leadership roles across the insurer’s financial lines business. Prior to joining Chubb, Huang worked at Marsh and AIG.

Huang’s move follows a series of leadership appointments across the region. Earlier in August, Chubb appointed Gurudutt Joglekar as country president of Chubb Insurance Malaysia Berhad. Elsewhere, the insurer named Sahapol Polpathapee as deputy country president and chief agency officer of Chubb Life Thailand.
