Guy Carpenter began operating as Marsh Re on Tuesday, president and chief executive Dean Klisura said in a letter to clients.
“As Marsh Re, we are entering a new chapter that enhances how we serve clients in an increasingly complex risk environment,” Klisura said. “With the full strength of Marsh, we bring expanded capabilities, deeper collaboration, and broader access to solutions across risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting.”
The rebrand was set out in October 2025, when Marsh McLennan said it would drop its own longer name and move its businesses onto the Marsh brand in phases, completing the switch by the start of 2027.
The change retires the Guy Carpenter name, which has been in use in reinsurance broking for more than 100 years.
“Our commitment to exceptional service, our talented team, and our trusted advice remains unchanged,” Klisura added.
In the Asia-Pacific reinsurance market, the broker had already started using the new name. It hired Sean Langham as vice president, facultative reinsurance in the Pacific business, one of the first regional moves made under the Marsh Re banner.
