Starr has appointed Sharon Ho as head of accident and health for Hong Kong, the insurer announced on Monday.
Ho will lead the continued development of Starr’s accident and health offering in the market, with a focus on growing its travel business across a range of distribution channels.
She joined in August from Generali, where she spent three and a half years as partnership and affinity manager in Hong Kong, managing the project life cycle for new general insurance products. Her previous roles include time at FWD, AIG, and Convoy Global Holdings.
“With her extensive A&H expertise and experience across partnership and affinity distribution, Sharon’s appointment further strengthens our capabilities as we continue to grow our business in Hong Kong,” Starr said on LinkedIn.
The hire follows a run of Starr appointments in the market and the line, including Sparks Lai as head of marine business development for North Asia, Jane Tung as head of casualty in Hong Kong, and Jean Michoud as regional travel partnerships lead for Asia-Pacific.
