Prudential Assurance Company Singapore has appointed Sandeep Nair as chief strategy and transformation officer, effective 5 October, the insurer announced on Monday.
Nair joins the business after two years at Singlife, where he most recently served as executive director, head of sales and distribution. Before Singlife, he worked at AIA for over six years, including as chief of strategic business development and corporate solutions in Indonesia.
He brings close to 20 years of experience across life insurance strategy, transformation, analytics, distribution and mergers and acquisitions. He also held roles at companies such as MetLife, EY and ICICI Prudential Life.
According to the company, Nair “brings a strong track record in overseeing strategic partnerships, building distribution capability, and sales planning and incentivisation.”
His appointment follows other leadership changes at Prudential Singapore, including the appointment of Don Charnsupharindr as chief partnership distribution officer, effective 1 October, and Manu Tandon as chief health and protection officer in July.
Prudential also named Naveed Irshad as regional CEO for Indonesia, the Philippines and Africa, effective 26 October.
