Sompo has named Lily Claydon as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for Asia Pacific, effective 3 March 2025, the company stated in a media release.
Singapore-based Claydon joins Sompo from AIG where she was APAC CRO. Before this, she held senior risk management positions at BoltTech Group and FWD Group. She has also served as a Senior Prudential Supervisor at the Australian regulator APRA.
In her new role, Claydon will join the APAC executive team and be responsible for the region’s risk management, governance, and analytics while also focusing on talent development across the region, Sompo said.
She has a dual reporting line to Emmanuel Brule, Chief Risk Officer of Sompo International Holdings, and Kenneth Reilly, Chief Executive Officer of Insurance for APAC.
“I am delighted to welcome Lily to our APAC leadership team,” Reilly said. “She brings 20 years of diverse experience across public and private risk practice and joins us at a pivotal time in our growth journey.”
Claydon is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Double Master of Commerce and International Business from The University of Sydney, Australia.
