Sun Life Vietnam has appointed Budi Darmawan as chief agency officer, according to a LinkedIn announcement by the insurer.
In the role, Budi Darmawan will lead the strategic expansion and modernisation of Sun Life Vietnam’s agency channel, strengthen adviser capabilities and help build a high-performing sales force to support the insurer’s long-term growth strategy.
Budi Darmawan brings more than 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry, with expertise spanning agency distribution, organisational transformation and sales force development.
Before joining Sun Life Vietnam, he served as chief distribution officer at Zurich Topas Life, where he led distribution growth and transformation initiatives. Earlier in his career, he was distribution director at PFI Mega Life, overseeing agency development and distribution operations.
The insurer said Budi Darmawan’s appointment reflects its continued focus on strengthening its agency distribution capabilities as it seeks to expand its presence in Vietnam’s life insurance market.
