Swiss Re has appointed Cheryl Tang as Senior Cyber Underwriter for Asia Pacific.
Singapore-based Tang joins the reinsurer after three years with Munich Re. She brings with her ten years of experience in cyber and financial lines, including primary underwriting, broking, and reinsurance.
Prior to Munich Re, her previous roles in the industry include time at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (now Allianz Commercial), Howden, and Chubb.
Giv Kahrom, Head of Cyber for Regional Markets at Swiss Re, welcomed Tang to the business, commenting, “With her deep expertise and passion for advancing cyber, Cheryl’s appointment further strengthens our commitment to supporting clients in navigating the evolving cyber risk landscape.”
Tang’s appointment adds to Swiss Re’s recent hiring activity in the Asia Pacific region, following the appointments of Sunayana Mahansaria as Head of Life & Health Reinsurance, India, and Anna Khomeini as Customer and Distribution Manager for Australia and New Zealand, both announced in October.
