Darshan Parikh has been named Lockton’s Senior Director for the Corporate Solutions Group in India, the global broker announced on LinkedIn on Tuesday.
Parikh joins from Marsh McLennan, where he spent nearly eight years. His most recent role was Senior Vice President and Head of Aviation, Marine, and Facultative Reinsurance.
Bringing over 15 years of experience to his new role, he is set to focus on driving growth for Lockton’s expansion within the Marine, Aviation, and Space practices.
In its post, Lockton underscored Parikh’s expertise in managing complex global placements and developing cost-effective coverage solutions for clients. He also held previous roles at firms such as ICICI Lombard and Kuehne + Nagel.
“With a strong focus on business strategy, specialty risk broking, and team management, Darshan brings a well-rounded versatility to the team,” the business stated.
Parikh is the latest personnel change for Lockton within the region, following the promotion of Piers Hughes to Head of Placement for Asia, as well as the appointments of Craig Claughton as National Manager for Financial Institutions and Dennis Moens as Client Manager for the Professional and Executive Risk team in Australia.
