Lockton has promoted Piers Hughes to Head of Placement for Asia, effective May 1, the global brokerage announced on Thursday.
In this role, Hughes reports to Tony Hardy and will focus on expanding Lockton’s facilities, captives, and retro capabilities in the Asia region.
Hughes has been with Lockton for over five years, most recently serving as its Regional Head of Reinsurance for the Asia region. He has previously held senior industry roles, including Head of Engineering and Terrorism for Miller and Head of Reinsurance for Thailand at Howden.
Hughes’s promotion follows several key appointments for Lockton Asia this year, including Cindy Khoo as Head of Business Development – Marine & Energy, Shuh Fang Huang as Regional Head of Consulting – People Solutions, Asia, and Neelam Singh Koyande as Director for Transactional Lines for Lockton’s Indian unit.
