Delta Insurance Australia has appointed Matthew Davis as head of claims, according to a LinkedIn announcement by managing director Hamish MacLean.

Davis joins the managing general agent (MGA) from AXA XL, where he has worked for nearly eight years. Prior to that, he worked for law firms Sparke Helmore Lawyers, Barry Nilsson and Winter Hilditch & Fotheringham, where he focused on insurance-related litigation.

The appointment follows other recent leadership changes made by Delta. At the group level, the company appointed Teresa Pollard as interim chief executive officer following Kent Chaplin’s departure in March. In February, MacLean was appointed to his current position in Australia.
