FWD Group Holdings on Monday named Mark Bensman as its chief officer for high net worth (HNW), effective 25 May 2026.

Bensman has more than 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry and joins FWD Group from Manulife, where he worked for 18 years and most recently served as chief distribution officer.

Commenting on the appointment, FWD Group chief executive officer and executive director Huynh Thanh Phong said the business sees “significant opportunity” in the high-net-worth space, which continues to grow in both size and sophistication.

“Mark is a great addition to lead the FWD Group HNW team in supporting our business units, as we expand our bespoke offering to this high-touch client segment,” Phong said.

FWD’s HNW business operates in Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, and Bermuda, offering onshore and offshore insurance solutions for HNW and ultra-HNW customers worldwide. FWD Private, the group’s dedicated HNW brand launched in 2023.

Bensman joins with the wider group posting slower growth in new business sales in the first quarter of 2026, but with profitability having risen sharply, supported by strong results in Japan and its Southeast Asian expansion markets.
