HSBC Life has appointed Gregoire Picquot as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective January 2026, the business announced on LinkedIn on Friday.

Based in Hong Kong, Picquot joined the firm in March this year as Global Head of Asset, Liability, and Capital Management for Insurance at HSBC. In his new role, he is responsible for leading financial reporting, actuarial functions, operations and controls, asset and liability management, and other initiatives across HSBC’s global insurance operations.

With over 20 years of experience, Picquot has held senior leadership roles at major companies, such as BNP Paribas Cardif and AXA Hong Kong and Macau.

“His international leadership experience across investment banking and asset management will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and supporting our ongoing transformation initiatives,” HSBC said in its press release.

The announcement follows a series of key promotions across HSBC Life’s regional business this year: Anita Menon as Chief Operating Officer and Angela Chan as Chief Distribution Officer, as well as Gary Ngai as Head of Insurance Strategy and Luis Alexandre Gomes as Head of Digital Health.
