HDI Global Specialty on Tuesday announced the appointment of Paula Ritchie as its Head of Single Risk for Australia and New Zealand, a newly created role,
Ritchie joins from Arch Insurance Australia where she was Underwriting Manager for Executive Assurance. She brings over 25 years of insurance industry experience to the role, including time at CGU and Berkley Insurance.
In her new position, effective from 11 March, Ritchie will drive Single Risk business activities across Australia and New Zealand, which “reflects both the recent success but also the growth aspirations of HDI’s Single Risk business in the region,” the company said in a statement.
Mark Fleiser, Managing Director of HDI Global Specialty Australia, commented on the appointment: “I am very excited to have Paula join us in this key new role of Head of Single Risk, and it certainly reflects the confidence we have in Paula to make a positive and proactive contribution to our activities.”
“The strategic local appointment underlines our commitment to growing our role in speciality lines in the region,” Fleiser added.
HDI Global Specialty SE is as a specialty lines insurer and a subsidiary of HDI Global SE, a part of the Talanx Group.
