Howden has appointed Eugene Wong, Alan Sze, Kyle Ng and Jason Lam to its Hong Kong team, the firm announced on Tuesday.
Wong will lead Howden’s employee benefits division in Hong Kong, overseeing the practice as it expands its health and benefits capabilities. He brings more than two decades of industry experience, including work on large-scale benefits strategies for corporations and multinational clients. His background includes health programme design and regional benefits transformation.
Before joining Howden, Wong held senior leadership roles at Mercer Marsh Benefits, Mercer Hong Kong and JLT Asia.
Alongside Wong’s appointment, Howden has named Ng as director of its multinational clients practice. He has more than a decade of experience, with expertise spanning risk management, property and casualty, and multinational client servicing. His role will focus on supporting clients with cross-border risk and insurance needs.
Sze joins as associate director, employee benefits (sales), bringing experience in domestic and international health insurance business development and operations. In his new remit, he will focus on developing employee benefit strategies and delivering client solutions through Howden’s employee benefits sales team.
Rounding out the appointments, Lam has joined as associate director, financial lines. His appointment will add to Howden’s risk advisory capabilities for corporate clients, the broker said.
The appointments reflect the company’s continued investment in expanding its specialist capabilities. They follow a series of recent senior hires by Howden across Asia, including Bhushan Raorane as EVP for property and risk management in India, Supaporn Chanin as director, power and energy for Thailand, and Deepti Sharma as growth leader for sales in India.
