HSBC Life Singapore (HSBC Life) has appointed Ronald Tan as Chief Agency Development Officer, the company announced in a statement.

Tan joins the company from Infinitum Financial Advisory, where served as Chief Executive Officer from 2019.

In the new role, Tan will oversee HSBC Life’s growing tied agency channel, as well as its distribution partnership with Singapore Post. He reports to Harpreet Bidra, CEO of HSBC Life Singapore and will join the HSBC Life Executive Committee.

Tan brings over 25 years of life insurance experience in channel management, agency building and development, training and development, having worked at businesses including NTUC, Tokio Marine, Income Insurance, AXA Life, and Manulife.

Bindra said that HSBC’s agency channel was continuing to grow from strength to strength and that Tan’s “wealth of experience and successful track record in agency development” would be instrumental in HSBC’s ambition of becoming Singapore’s preferred life insurer of choice.
