HDI Global Australia has announced the appointment of Joanna D’Silva as Senior Underwriter for Engineering.
D’Silva joins HDI’s Melbourne team after serving at AIG since 2016, with her most recent role being Senior Underwriter for Energy. She had previously served at AIG as Complex Claims Adjuster for Property & Energy, based in Melbourne, and Assistant General Counsel, based in Malaysia, according to LinkedIn.
Stevan Bonic, Technical Underwriting Manager – Engineering for Australasia, said that D’Silva will be a key member of the Australian Engineering team and support the servicing and growth of its portfolio. “She brings a broad wealth of knowledge across both underwriting in the Power and Energy industry as well as Construction and Energy claims adjusting,” he added.
Aside from AIG, D’Silva previously served as an Associate in the firm Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill. She holds a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from University of Leeds.
