Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LM Re), a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the immediate appointment of Alex Koh to the position of Senior Underwriter.
Koh is based in Singapore and will report to Annie Leong, Regional Underwriting Manager, tasked with maintaining and expanding the company’s existing reinsurance portfolio in the region.
In a statement, LM Re said it recognises the importance of combining local knowledge with global expertise to provide the best service to its clients and believes that Koh’s appointment affirms this commitment.
Leong welcomed Koh to the company, saying, “We are very pleased to welcome Alex to Liberty. As our operation in Singapore continues to expand, his extensive experience will be a great asset to us, our brokers, partners and clients.”
“This will enable us to facilitate more effective management of complex and emerging risk. Our operations in Asia Pacific have gone from strength to strength in recent years, and with individuals of Alex’s calibre, we are ready to continue our growth,” she added.
Koh joins from China Reinsurance Corporation in Singapore, where he was Treaty Manager and responsible for underwriting treaty business from South Asia and South Korea.
