Global (re)insurance broker Lockton today announced the promotion of two key personnel within its Thailand operations: Suradee Malaiarisoon will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer for Lockton Thailand and Julio Camanag will serve as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. Both promotions are effective from 1 May 2024.

Malaiarisoon, who started her career with Lockton in 1994 as an Account Executive, will be elevated from her current position of Senior Director, Major Accounts. Malaiarisoon’s leadership in the Major Accounts unit has been pivotal to its success, the business said in an announcement, with Malaiarisoon and Camanag helping to turn the unit into the top revenue earner for Lockton Thailand.

In her new capacity as CEO, Malaiarisoon’s responsibilities include providing strategic guidance to business units, aligning operations with corporate objectives, corporate planning, setting business targets, and managing company budgets, Lockton said.

She will also work closely with the Board of Directors and Lockton global offices to improve inter-company cooperation and administrative processes.

Camanag, who has been serving as Director, Major Accounts, has a decade of experience at Lockton, including reinsurance expertise, and has been instrumental in driving positive change and growth within the company, according to the announcement.

In his new Deputy CEO role, Camanag will work closely with Malaiarisoon, with a focus on business development, client retention, and working with front-line units to improve client servicing standards and create new revenue opportunities, Lockton said.

Lockton added that Wattana Wongvisesnopakun, Executive Chairman of Lockton Thailand, will continue to provide guidance and counsel to the company, including for customer relationships, new business opportunities, recruitment and development of talent, and potential acquisition opportunities.
