SALT Marine Risks has appointed Lee Maureen Santiago as Marine Underwriter, the Australian managing general agent (MGA) announced in a LinkedIn update on Friday.

Santiago joined the Lloyd’s coverholder after more than 15 years with Allianz Marine and Transit (AM&T), now known as GT Marine, where she worked in hull, cargo, and liability lines across new business and renewals.

She reports to Iain Sharples, who SALT promoted to Head of Underwriting, Marine earlier this month.

Prior to her time at AM&T, Santiago gained marine insurance industry experience working in underwriting roles at Associated Marine Insurers and ACE Group.
