Howden Re has appointed Sebastian Cook as Deputy CEO of Howden Re International, as announced in a company statement on LinkedIn.
London-based Cook joins Howden Re this month following 3 years with Guy Carpenter, where he led European Broking. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Aon including as London Head of EMEA for Reinsurance Solutions.
He will work closely with Massimo Reina, CEO of Howden Re International, on the management of the broker’s international operations, as the global broker looks to strengthen its international footprint.
Reina said Cook’s entrepreneurial approach is perfectly aligned with core elements of Howden’s culture, adding, “Sebastian is a recognised leader and trusted partner in our industry. I am delighted to welcome him to the team to support the continued growth and success of Howden Re’s International platform.”
Commenting on his new role, Cook said, “I’m thrilled to join Howden Re under the leadership of some of the most proven and effective practitioners in the global reinsurance market.”
