Sun Life has appointed Anshuman Das as Chief Bancassurance Officer for Asia, effective 3 November 2025, according to a company press release on 22 October.

Das moves from DBS, where he served as Executive Director of its regional bancassurance team for over two years. Based in Singapore, he will report to David Broom, Sun Life’s Chief Client & Distribution Officer, Asia.

Das brings over 15 years of experience across insurance and consumer banking, having held senior leadership roles in both regional and local capacities. His previous roles include positions at HSBC Life, Citibank, and Standard Chartered Bank.

Welcoming Das to the team, Broom noted his “proven track record of developing and implementing strategic bancassurance strategies tailored for a diverse set of Asian businesses.”

The appointment follows another leadership announcement made by Sun Life in September, naming Sujoy Ghosh as CEO, High Net Worth.
