Allianz Trade has appointed Ricky Hung as head of distribution in Hong Kong, the company announced on Thursday.
Hung joins after over nine years at HSBC, where he most recently served as division head for global trade and receivable finance.
He brings more than 24 years of banking experience, with expertise spanning structured trade finance, supply chain finance, receivables finance and corporate lending. Before working for HSBC, he held roles at Standard Chartered Bank, including associate director in local corporates origination and client coverage. Earlier in his career, he worked for companies like ANZ, Rabobank, and Ernst & Young.
“In his new role, Ricky will lead our business development strategy in Hong Kong, strengthen client engagement, and accelerate growth across our commercial portfolio,” the company said in its announcement.
The appointment comes as Allianz Trade also makes senior internal moves in China this year, including the promotion of Tian ‘Bruce’ Lan as China commercial director and Sandy Liu to regional head of China desk.
