Chubb Life has appointed Abhishek Sharma as global head of data and analytics, the insurer said in a LinkedIn post on Thursday.
Based in Hong Kong, Sharma joins after spending more than four years at AIA, most recently serving as group director of data and AI platforms (architecture, engineering and governance). Earlier in his career, he also worked at HSBC, Deloitte, and Infosys Consulting.
He brings 20 years of global insurance data and transformation experience. “In this role, he will lead our data, AI and analytics agenda, supporting stronger business insights across Chubb Life”, the company said in its announcement.
Sharma’s appointment comes as Chubb Life continues to expand its leadership team with several hires across the region this year.
In August, the insurer named Sahapol Polpathapee as deputy country president and chief agency officer of Chubb Life Thailand. Earlier this year, Chubb Life appointed Kishore Motwani as head of operations, while Jack Jiang took up the newly created chief commercial officer role.
