HDI Global has appointed Vijay Brundavanam as Senior Underwriter, Engineering, the business said in a LinkedIn announcement on Friday.
Melbourne-based Brundavanam joins the firm after three years with QBE, where he was Senior Underwriter for Construction. Earlier in his career, he also held roles at Willis and Chubb.
Stephen Jones, Head of State Management, Australia, commented on the appointment, stating: “Vijay joins us with invaluable prior experience on both the underwriting and broking sides of construction and engineering, including a short stint underwriting financial lines.”
The appointment comes following a number of key personnel moves by HDI in the APAC region over the last month, including Peter Button’s move to lead underwriting professional lines in the Australian states of NSW and ACT and Kunihiko Suzuki’s appointment as Senior Liability Underwriter for HDI Japan.
