Aon hires Metat Sae-Jan as Thailand head of life & health reinsurance

He brings experience across life insurance and reinsurance roles in Thailand and Hong Kong.

Aon Thailand has appointed Metat Sae-Jan as head of life & health, reinsurance solutions, according to an announcement by Aon on Monday.

Sae-Jan joins the broker after over two years at XEL Advisory, where he was a partner. He brings extensive industry experience, having held senior and leadership roles for firms in both Thailand and Hong Kong. Earlier in his career, he worked for AIA, FWD, and Prudential Life.

The hire follows a series of leadership appointments across Aon’s Asia Pacific operations. This month, the broker appointed Jess Kang as head of data and analytics for APAC, Taranjeet Walia as senior client director, commercial risk solutions & growth in India, and Matthew Chae as growth leader, life and health reinsurance for Korea

The broker also recently promoted Edwin Lee to head of growth, commercial risk solutions, Singapore, and Jamine Figueroa to director, sales enablement, Southeast Asia.

Aon was the world’s second-largest insurance broker by revenue in 2025, according to AM Best’s annual rankings. Marsh retained the top spot for a 16th consecutive year.
