Sompo has promoted Kelvin John Nathan to Vice President of its regional project management office (PMO) for APAC, effective immediately, the company announced on LinkedIn.

Nathan joined Sompo in 2021 and has since held key roles in corporate planning, strategic projects, and the CEO’s office. He will remain based at the APAC head office in Singapore and report to David Chau, Senior Vice President and Head of PMO for the region.

Bringing extensive experience in strategic analysis, project oversight, and cross-functional coordination, Nathan steps into the role following previous senior positions at AXA Insurance and Etiqa Insurance. Sompo said he has “a strong understanding of our diverse business landscape and has played an integral part in supporting critical initiatives.”

“He will play a pivotal role in shaping the PMO’s target operating model and partnering with executives and various functions across our businesses to drive regional alignment and the successful execution of our strategic priorities,” the company added.

Nathan is the latest key appointment at Sompo’s APAC office in the past three months. It follows Chau’s appointment in May, as well as Sherlyn Kok Meili’s appointment as Head of Compliance in April.
