Gallagher has expanded its corporate broking team in Queensland with the appointments of Joshua Heron, Sarah Alexander and Michael Hambleton to its Brisbane office, with all three joining from Aon.
Heron joins Gallagher as manager, corporate, following more than 13 years at Aon, most recently as client director in Brisbane. During his career, he has worked across client management, international property insurance and corporate risk advisory roles in both Australia and the UK.
Alexander joins as account manager after more than two decades in insurance broking and claims. She previously spent over 22 years at Aon, where she held a range of client-facing roles, most recently as senior client executive. Her sector experience includes healthcare, aged care, education, not-for-profit organisations and community services.
Hambleton joins Gallagher as client manager. He spent almost 19 years with Aon in Brisbane, most recently as client director, advising corporate clients on insurance and risk management programmes.
The appointments follow Gallagher’s continued investment in its Australian operations as competition for experienced broking talent remains active across the market.
They come after a number of leadership changes announced by Gallagher this year, including Charlotte Jolly as practice leader for its faith specialty business, Adam Sullivan as chief executive of specialty for Asia, Blake Gleeson as chief client officer in Australia, JD Veldsman as chief commercial officer in Australia, and Ken Wise as head of corporate and natural resources for Western Australia.
