FWD Group has appointed Jeffrey Woo as president director of PT FWD Insurance Indonesia, following approval from Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK).

Woo has more than 20 years of experience in insurance and financial services across Asia and brings extensive experience in developing agency and bancassurance channels for multinational insurers, with expertise in strategic execution, performance management, and governance.

He has been with FWD for over five years, serving most recently as chief bancassurance officer for Thailand. Prior to joining FWD, he held senior leadership roles at AIA, Chubb, Manulife, Ernst & Young, and AXA.

“Jeffrey brings extensive experience across Asia’s insurance and financial services industry, with a proven track record in driving growth and customer-focused innovation,” said Binayak Dutta, senior managing director, Southeast Asia, and group chief business operations officer at FWD Group.

It also follows leadership changes recently announced by FWD Group, including Martin Zingg joining the board of directors, Mark Bensman being named chief officer for high net worth, and the promotion of Queenie Lam to lead marketing for Hong Kong and Macau.
